Cars are like Shoes

If you think about it, Cars are just like shoes. You buy them because they look good, smell good and feel good; but after a few years all that jazz is gone. No matter how hard you try, you just can't get that "new" feel back and you find yourself facing the age old question: Is it time to trade?

In my humble opinion there are 2 types of people out there:

The Preppers: The ones that plan for that day and already have a budget for it, which means they will jump to a new vehicle as soon as they find a good deal, they probably never paid out of pocket for a repair on the previous car because it was all under warranty, and they also have lots of equity on their trade so they may not even have to put any money down towards a brand new vehicle.

The Dreamers: The ones that get emotionally attached to their machines and hold on to them until paying for the repairs doesn't feel good anymore. Buy the time they decide to pull the trigger they have little or no equity in their trade, so all the money they saved now has to go towards the down payment for the new vehicle.

So, which one are you?
